Statement of Faith

WE BELIEVE that there is only one God and that He exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
“I, even I, am the LORD, And besides Me there is no savior.” (Isaiah 43:11).
For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all (1 Timothy 2:5-6).
For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father
 (Ephesians 2:18).

WE BELIEVE that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and that it is the revelation of God’s will for the salvation of mankind and the standard for faith and life for the believer.
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16).
No prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:20-21).

WE BELIEVE that mankind was created in the image of God, holy and pure, but through willful and deliberate disobedience became sinners, separated from God and inclined toward evil, guilty without excuse.
“Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned (Romans 5:12).
Among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others (Ephesians 2:3).

WE BELIEVE in a literal Heaven and Hell and that everyone shall give an account of their life before God; that the devil, Satan, is a real and personal adversary to mankind who actively seeks to destroy people, hinder God’s plan of redemption and enlarge the influence of Hell so that people will be hopelessly lost and deserving of the condemnation of a just and holy God.
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad (2 Corinthians 5:10).
The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever…And anyonenot found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:10,15).

WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God, willingly took upon Himself the punishment that mankind deserved for their sin; that He died on Calvary’s cross, shedding His blood as the complete atonement for man’s sin; that He rose bodily from the grave in victory over death’s judgment and Satan’s dominion and ascended into heaven, where He ever lives at God’s right hand making intercession for us.
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).
“Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them (Hebrews 7:25).
Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption (Hebrews 9:12).

WE BELIEVE that only through faith in Jesus Christ repentant people are born again, receive new life and become people of God; that salvation is by God’s grace and not of works.
“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ (Ephesians 2:13).
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God (Romans 5:1-2).
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).

WE BELIEVE that the baptism with the Holy Spirit is for the empowering of believers to serve God; that the gifts and fruit of the Spirit are to be evidenced in the lives of all believers in this present day.
“John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now…You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:5,8).
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance (Acts 2:4). Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant…one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills. (1 Corinthians 12:1,11).

WE BELIEVE it is the responsibility of every believer to maintain a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to walk in the Spirit daily; that we are to become partakers of His divine nature, overcome human and hellish deterrents and exemplify maturity in faith and life; that believers are also called to gather regularly for worship and fellowship; that the true Church is composed of all who have believed unto salvation.
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).
Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God (2 Corinthians 7:1).
And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching (Hebrews 10:24-25).

WE BELIEVE in water baptism by immersion and in partaking of the Lord’s Supper.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” (Matthew 28:19).
For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes (1 Corinthians 11:26).

WE BELIEVE that divine healing is the power of the Lord Jesus Christ to heal the sick and the afflicted in answer to believing prayer.
“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed (James 5:14-16).

WE BELIEVE that world evangelization is both an individual and corporate responsibility.
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15). Lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! (John 4:35).

WE BELIEVE that civil government is of divine appointment for the interest and good order of human society; that we should pray for those in rulership, obeying and upholding them at all times, except only in those things which are opposed to the will of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God…For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil (Romans 13:1,3).
We ought to obey God rather than men
 (Acts 5:29).

WE BELIEVE that the personal, physical Second Coming of Christ is imminent.
“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18).
“Do business till I come” (Luke 19:13).
“But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only…Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming” (Matthew 24:36,42).

WE BELIEVE that tithes and offerings are God’s financial plan for His Church.
“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it” (Malachi 3:10).
“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you” (Luke 6:38). God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7).

WE BELIEVE “In essentials–unity; in nonessentials–liberty; in all things–love
